A great choice for lunch when you're visiting the galleries on Canyon Road. The owner looked rushed and distracted at first (we were the only customers initially), but warmed up to us after serving us food and drinks. They serve an interesting variety of sandwiches, and the ones we tried were delicious. Their wine list is also impressive. It's a tiny, cute place with a nice seating area outside. Next time in Santa Fe, we'll try their coffee.

A great find on Canyon Road. Escape here for a warm beverage and great food in winter time. Delicious tuna salad with curry and cranberries mixed in. Summer patio seating looks enjoyable, but haven't visited during summer yet. Owner is a francophile, so needless to say, this cafe has a french twist, and serves wine/champagne if you're in the mood for it.

Our guidebook had recommended a lovely stroll up Canyon Road to see the various galleries and Cristo Rey church at the end, so when we set off, we had no idea how hungry we'd end up upon our return. Luckily, Cafe des Artistes is at the western end of the street, so on our way back we stumbled in on a very cold Monday, sat inside, and ordered our food. Either I was very hungry or their food was very good, but one way or another I forgot about how cold it was outside when I took my first bite of my veggie sandwich with fresh green chili peppers and avocados. Pure heaven! It was just the right degree of spicy, perfect size, and very filling. I admit, I was a bit disappointed that the sandwich didn't come with any sides. Maybe I'm just spoiled, but in my opinion, a sandwich should always be served with at least a pickle, some chips, a salad, or some fruit on the side. Regardless, the sandwich hit the spot after our trek. The cafe itself is very beautiful, with some indoor seating, plenty of outdoor seating. It's appropriately titled given its location on Canyon Road, famous for the art galleries, and the map of wine regions in France was very fun to look at. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Santa Fe!

We'd seen this café every day since we arrived but never checked it out until being disappointed by another coffee shop. We just happened to walk by on our way back from this other café and decided to check it out. Immediately we were greeted by an incredibly hospitable woman who welcomed us inside. We ordered coffee and she told us to go ahead and take a seat and she'd bring our coffee right out to us. We tried to pay but she said not to worry about it just yet as she wanted us to relax. The coffee was incredible! I'm very glad we stopped by. My only regret is we leave tomorrow and won't be able to go back!

My sisters and I were charmed by the man who was our host, the superb sandwiches, and the cute patio. My egg salad sandwich (with added ham) and my sisters' ham and brie sandwiches were huge and very tasty. The dijon mustard was the kicker!

Worst service in Santa Fe!!! The guy running the place was a complete jerk! Just moved down the street, guarantee I will NEVER be back!

A quaint and cozy place to stop for lunch. I enjoyed a delicious turkey and avacado sandwich with a lemon pepper mayo sauce. YUM! Ate outside on the patio under blue skies and fresh air. A nice plus is being able to browse the owner's gallery directly off the patio. Will definitely eat here again.
